He's a very good player, at what he does, He's calm, he's experienced, if he wasnt injured as much he'd be playing for a top team IMO, Will be a good signing, And i think he'll actually play an important role this season.

a large number of aston villa and west ham fans would disagree with you, its his ability not injurys that prevent him playing for a top `10 club
 

I don't think they would, To be fair. I know a few hammer's fans, and they all said he was their best midfielder when he was actually playing for them, Not too sure about Villa fans, But i feel the general census is that he's a good player.
 
the census was he was tidy and held onto the ball well, but didnt have alot going for him creativly and wasnt the fastest player on the pitch
 

he is nothing like awful, he's a good footballer with a good range of passing and ability, he has 52 caps for Germany, he won the Bundesliga with an unfancied Stuttgart side, there's no argument here, he is a good player, why would all the itk reports be saying that everybody at Finch farm is very impressed? Because he's a top level international footballer.
 
Love him to turn out like a Gibson . Some off you are forgetting this bargains can be real game changers like Gibson . Ungrateful bunch . He's better than having Neville in cm
