My dad is in a home for example, all he does for fun is watch telly and the only thing he gets all day is a reminder of his own mortality wall to wall. Nice one.

It isn't 'hateful', it's railing against the rank hypocrisy of a subservient and acquiescent system that seperates opportunities for entitlement then rides roughshod over the less fortunate of the people of this land.
If she can be 'symbolic' as a head of state with no legal recourse, she can remain symbolic of all its inequalities.
It isn't personal is it? Because that would mean accepting her part was 'personal'.

I'm starting to see the not very funny side as well, specifically on bbc4 around 11pm when 'this is spinal tap' was scheduled. now cancelled. This thread has some heavy lifting to do.
