I'll take the opinion of a guy whose named after a terrible wrestler with a pinch of salt.

Tell you what, you must know some hefty sponges then.

Let's put it this way, Navas is on his way to Merseyside, it's just a case of whether it's red or blue. And I didn't start this thread, or know the person who has, so that's two making this link already.

You might want to bake some humble pie in preparation for this. God knows you need a bit of humility you arrogant fool.

Oh and i'm sposed to take what you say as gospel when you have a Pokemon as an avatar? Av a word lad!

You've backtracked wonderfully aswell, gone from 'wer in negotionations' to 'he's definatly arriving on merseyside' bringing the RS into this. Make your mind up!

Silly season has started, too true, less that 24 hours after the end of the season, well done, you've made a name for yourself now in online circles, i suggest you give up now

It's a straight fight between us and Liverpool at the moment. Sevilla desperately want Arteta, and it'll be close to a straight swap (by close I mean Arteta plus performance related addons), whilst Liverpool are bidding £15m ish.

Everton won't entertain the money alone for Arteta, because they can't get a replacement in for that money.

Wow. If he's as good as folks are saying this seems a good deal based on Arteta's form and our needs. But turning down 15mil seems tough. Couldn't they have got Teta for that?

Yeah he's in negotiations with Liverpool AND Everton, which both mean Merseyside, and he's going to one or the other. That means he's definitely going to Merseyside. You dense or what?

I'm just passing on what I heard - I'm really not interested in what you think, but if you want to make it personal, go for it. You can't see me lid.

Embarrassing.

Yes, please.

You'll probably get our best winger, in return. His names Victor Anichebe, he's a nigerian with incredible speed, strength and ball control. He's not got the best shot on him but ferguson and wenger both consider him one of the most promising young players in Europe.

Should be a good deal for both of us, mate.

Please not Anichebe. He is the best that we have at falling over.

Name who you heard it from then? Or have they got a super-injuction out?? We'll see shall we, guarantee you now he won't end up at Everton, if Merseyside at all...

Consider yourself bookmarked

They didn't bid £15m for Arteta. They were basically going to sell Navas to Liverpool for around £15m, then use around £10m of that for Arteta. We wouldn't take that much as we couldn't find a replacement for that price for a key player, so Sevilla have thought that if they can get Arteta and around £5m in addons for Navas then it amounts to the same thing, as they rate Arteta at £10m. So they've accepted both offers, but they prefer the Everton bid as it comes with a player they highly desire in Arteta.

If that makes sense. It's confusing but that's the gist of it.

It's a lad I know who works down at the club, I'm not saying any more than that because it'd be out of order (given there's only about five of them who work that sort of area at the club). But basically he has to be informed of goings on so as to arrange meeting locations, travel, accommodation etc.

The reason I know it's Arteta on the way out is a knock on effect from training ground noises he hears. This has been on the back burner since last week but you can't say anything publicly until it's close to being done, as it gets a lot of people in trouble.

I don't know WHY I'm explaining it to you given your aggressive attitude. It might surprise you but Everton DO sign players and sometimes people hear about it in advance.

Just because my name isn't LCAB you think you can take a few cheap shots.

Once again, embarrassing.

Seems like 10 mil would have been enough to buy someone but not someone of that caliber. If he's that good I think Liverpool may make it hard for us. They have more money to burn...

this would allow for my dream Everton Team (considering our budget)

Beckford/Saha
Osman
C. Adam(i've heard we have a good shot)Rodwell, Fellaini, Navas
Baines, Heitinga, Jagielka, Coleman
That is a top four side if we can add some freebies like Larsson and Bothroyd for depth

Yeah that was my thought, but it's at a pretty advanced stage now so I can't see how an increased Liverpool bid would somehow suddenly "undo" the negotiations with Everton. Both offers accepted like.
