Head injuries* stopping games/counter attacks

In Aussie Rules (where head knocks are frequent) the player who receives a blow to the head (tackle, fall, whatever) is off for a mandatory 15 minute medical assessment, where club doctors make the decision as to whether he can play on, or is withdrawn and misses the next match.
They do get to put a replacement player on though.

And you just know that if this were implemented in football, clubs would use it to give a player a 10 minute rest before sending him back on again.

I do like the afl method of physios going on the field to treat an injury and play just continues around them

I'll be the first to say we're really bad for this "sportsmanship", would like to see it cut out the game somehow.

But also it is important players are seen regarding concussions - there was a game awhile ago there was a player so clearly out of it on the pitch, and he should avbsolutely of been taken off and forced to go off. It's not right when you see all the older players with dementia etc. when they're older.
