Not too worried tbh, all 3 of those can get a tackle stuck in, also Hackney can be quite aggressive at times.

I like him as a player but not sure how he improves us in any particular way other than strength in depth. What is his 'superpower'. For example, we need more goals from midfield, but he has a 1 in 10 goal ratio at Boro, compared to say Tim Cahill who we gave a similar chance to who had a 1 in 4 at Millwall, then was close to that with us.

I'm hoping the recruitment team are just putting Moyes in a position were he has to play younger players or else he won't even be able to field an 11.

He’d be a 24 year old with 5 full seasons of senior football under his belt, he’s not remotely in the same category as aznou, dibling or George.

He’s a good footballer, and no issue adding one of those to the squad for a reasonable price. The technical ability in our squad is woeful and why we are safest when we haven’t got the ball.

As always though, can buy 20 players like this but if we don’t buy full backs, a strong and physical midfield presence and genuinely fast wide players as a minimum, then improving the ball playing ability in the middle with good footballers is a waste of money. Again.

Buying best players in Championship is solid strategy imo.
Palace picked up Wharton, Eze, Olise with very little competition.
