Have you ever found any money......

Worked in a petrol station and it was, for some bizarre reason, where a lot of drug deals were carried out. A dealer dropped a roll which must have been a monkey or even two monkeys (!!), i never found out because as i picked it up the manager saw me and told me to hand it in.

I offered to split it with him, pointing out it was only a dealer's money, but he was unpersuaded. I called the cops there and then in case he had any plans to keep it for himself.

Over a decade ago and it still p1sses me off.

Well as promised I have returned with my story.
A few years ago I went to the Road,Race + Superbike show at Alexandria Palace in North London with a couple of friends and my younger brother for a day out.
All was going well as we had complementary tickets for the show and skipped the rail fare down to London from our local station to save a few quid to spend on beer.
Walking round just after lunchtime I spotted a wallet on the floor and stopped to pick it up. Moving out of the flow of people I opened it up to find no details of the owner but £450 in used notes.
On leaving the show we headed into town for a few beers and a bite to eat which was paid for out of my find. I gave £50 each to my brother and my two friends and pocketed the rest.
A GOOD DAY WAS HAD BY ALL!!

So, you're a thief then?

I found £140 in 20s in the street at about 10.30 on a Sunday evening. Since there was nobody around, I did what anyone else would have done I kept it and put an accy on with it the following weekend. If only it had come in...

No.

Ask me about the lottery the day after I was made redundant in 2002, go on.....

[poor language well and bleedin' truly removed]

I found £40 a couple of years ago in a supermarket car park up in a small town in Scotland, two hours later I was arrested in a pub for theft by finding.

Used to work at a golf course, and was cutting the grass along the exit laneway and saw a twenty, hopped off the mower and saw a five then noticed another twenty then several bills fluttering along the ground. Gathered them all up and took them back to the pro shop. Later a golfer called in to say he had lost his wallet, actually put on the roof of his car and drove away. He never admitted how much was in the wallet but said what I gave him was short and accused me of pocketing most of it.

But when I was about 10 a buddy and I found an envelope with a massive wad of bills in it. There was a logo on the envelope and looking up the same logo was on the business we were standing in front of. We took it in an asked who we should give it to. The gent who took the envelope from us started asking us our names, were we lived etc I thought we were in major trouble and thought we had done something wrong. A couple of days later mom and dad asked me if I had been over on the far side of town by the business, as I wasn't supposed to go that far from home without asking permission. It turned out that the business owner knew my father and had mailed a thank you letter praising our honesty. The business was a Funeral home and the money was from an elderly gentleman to pay for the funeral of his wife. Still have the letter.

i live by a GAA groung in Mullingar so we get away fans, one time i was coming back from the shop and an a away fan dropped a roll of 20 euro notes and i picked it up and chased the girl and give it back to her even thought i was on the bones of my bum
