Has the transfer window cost us?

The transfer window - as well as being a complete and utter failure (almost as per usual) - dispirited the whole camp.

Agreed. We're seeing the opposite of what happened last January.

If only there was more players than Fer available though...just our luck that when we had €10M to spend there was no players left to buy because they were all rubbish or were satisfied to stay put.

Oh well. Bill tried I suppose.

The transfer window was a triumph of prudent financial management by the board.

Did you want us to buy a seriously injured cripple for £8M and end up like Portsmouth ?

They pulled Fer up on his scar pal, hardly a cripple id say!. We was just trying to penny pinch on the deal. But we should of worked harder on other targets cos a lack of signings will cost us as were towing now, we was before the turn of the year, but were going to have to dig deep for the rest of the season to get the results to keep us right in the mix for Europe!.

You may not know this lads, but the transfer window starts at the beginning of January.
Not when Jim White does his thing.

It gives you chance to do medicals and stuff.

Just saying like.

Oh, and I forgot..

The players you sign, can play in all the games in January as well.
Mental isnt it..
Dont tell Harry though will you lads..

Yup. And scouting. And having back up list of players.

We stopped looking and ended our transfer business at 7pm on the last day of the window from what I've read. We packed up, bought a youth, and went home with 5 hours left in the window

.............Moyes keeps pulling rabbits out of the hat but at the end of the day true quality costs, particularly in the top third of the pitch. Until we have monies to spend it will be very, very difficult to get to the next level.
