Has Fellaini really got a £22m buyout clause in his contract ?

Oh my word...................... There is no clause, he will not leave in January, Landon Donovan is finished cos he's a lazy chunt and we need a new goalie.................that's all I wanna say really.

Yeah you're right mate. About a month in it.

I only remember cos I was in hospital, and the echo was the only means of news (back then) I read it back to front! And then again!

We won the derby shortly after. Ferguson and Rideout!

all this talk of him being linked to chelsea, ancelotti wanted him a when he was in charge, which means if chelsea have been after him all that time then ancelotti, AVB, di matteo and now benitez wants him aswell, highly unlikley all of those wanted him which leaves abramovich but if he wanted him for so long he would of got him by now. also throw into that benitez will be gone by the summer

Hence the link to chelsea doesent make sense.

oh that derby!

watched it in a boozer FULL of kopites i was the only everton supporter in there i went fooking mentle! fair play to them though as they were mostly sound!

If/when Fellaini does leave he's going to be very difficult to replace. I know that goes without saying, but I've read a lot of people saying they'd take McCarthy as a replacement! Based on his current worth to the team, we can't replace him with a midfielder, we need to be looking at a target man of sorts, but one that operates defensive duties too. He's almost created a new position which will be near impossible to fill.

Talking to bloke in work who knows a lot about the club and he came up with some good points.

1. There is a clause of at least 25mil
2. Chelsea do not qualify to trigger the clause.
3. If Chelsea want him and bid say 30mil then the clause goes out of the window and anyone else wanting him will have to match Chelseas bid at least.
4. Everton are hoping that Chelsea do bid over the clause this month so it goes out of the window for this month.
5. Even if we don't accept the bid the clause is still gone for this month.

He has always been pretty spot on in the past and have no reason to doubt him now.

Why? Surely a champ league team could bid his minimum fee release regardless of Chelsea's bid. If Chelsea bid above his clause we should snap their hands off.

Honestly, all of this 'Chelsea don't count as a CL team' is utter crap. The fact they've been knocked out doesn't mean they're not a Champions League team, they're the current champions and haven't missed out on qualification in years. I'm sure if there is a clause driven by European qualification it is a little more fleshed out than just:

'Have to be in der knockout stages of der Champions Leeeg'
