Has Fellaini really got a £22m buyout clause in his contract ?

It says buy out is 22m for a champions league club and then links Chelsea. Last time I checked, they are not in champions league so we could reject the bid anyway. We won't sell cheap. Seems like player has said he will stay until end of season and will move on if no champions league.

Right Moyes has said he wont sell Fellaini in the Jan window

He couldnt say that if there was a 22m buy out clause because if someone meets that figure its out of his and the clubs hands

Proof of Fellaini Claus:

Seems a goer to me.

Not too long ago the Screech camp were making noises about CL with heavy hints of moving on now he's signed a contract and is happy to stay - quite conflicting.

The beauty of such a contract is apparently a genuine asset is committed to the cause no grief about being a mercenary foreigner and the club looks like it's getting it's act together.

Figures round 22 million actually say we're open for business it wouldn't deter any of the monied crew so availability hasn't really changed BUT he gets more money while advertising himself with great performances.

The club's hope is a bidding war makes the "get out" figure incidental, such are the small mercies to us fans.

I'd be surprised if there isn't a buy-out clause.

I hope I'm wrong but I can see him going to Chelsea for 25 big ones in this window.

Sorry but unless I'm missing your meaning, then what you're saying makes no sense.

If there's a £22m clause, then there will be no bidding war.

22million would be about right for a player like Fellaini, I don't think he is worth much more than that.

My brother got banned off here just for expressing his opinion on Fellaini, as he thinks he is defensively suspect and well over-hyped. Apparently holding this belief makes you open to accusations of 'being Staveros', and this results in an automatic ban.

It may shock some people, but whoever Stavros is, he isn't the only person who can see past the ridiculous over-hype of Marouane Fellaini. I was watching Al Jazeera TV yesterday, and even Joe Royle acknowledged Fellaini's dodgyness in defence and inability to track runners.
