Harry McGuire's arrest has nothing to do with race. Nor has it anything to do with Raheem Sterling. That article is clearly written by a man city fan with little journalistic training or intelligence. It's just a point scoring exercise and another man city attempt to play hard done too. There are numerous cases of white players receiving bad press. That article is fanzine level at best.
The arrest doesn't and nor does his treatment in the press alone. However, you consider how Maguire's incident was portrayed compared to other players...
... well, you have to wonder if there was an element of racism in the past. Why Maguire hasn't been lambasted in the press is very questionable in that context.
