Lol at him trying to buy his way out of trouble. Surprised they didn't accept it to be honest.

The only explanation for me is they just love to be noticed idolized by there own fans and women fauning over them as they splash the cash all over the place.
If they went to the more exclusive places they would be mixing with people who could buy and sell and would not be particularly impressed by a fella from the rough end of town who makes his living kicking a football and getting a bandage round his head to stop his very few brain cells falling out.
Anyone that argues with Greek coppers is a knobnut*. He probably thought he was dealing with British coppers and will, by now, presumably have learnt how wrong he was.
*To be fair, it's no massive surprise that Maguire is one
Given my experience of the Greek coppers , specifically in Athens when Everton were over there, I assumed the assault was probably when maguire tried to knock the ciggies out of their hands and drag them away from leaning their shields to Actually get involved in the fight .

To be fair, that's been pretty much standard policing of football for decades whenever's there been trouble. Let them tire each other out first, and then wade in.
I have a feeling his punishment will reflect the extent of the bribery.Affray, police assault, and bribery. He'll get off with a warning.
He could use the RS excuse that he was in bed at the time.Affray, police assault, and bribery. He'll get off with a warning.
I know I have.Do we know if he has urinated in a swimming pool?![]()
'Helping the police', as if he's doing them a favour. lolRags PR in full overdrive. It was hours before the BBC reported it and even then it only said he was "helping the police". It took the daily's to run it as front page before the BBC reported he had been arrested. The Mail in particular are trying to find any excuse they can for his behaviour. Compare this to the front page headline from them demanding England drop Sterling after an England defeat for mocking fans by buying his mum a house. They will be using up an awful lot of favours in the media, but then again, they seem to have a limitless supply.
