2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

How did he play? Few people on the PNE are critical and saying he isn’t ready for the Prem.
The same fans who
Probably said he was a months ago. We’re all the same after a poor result, we like them criticise everyone. Which they’re doing on there forum and also having a go at the manager for the way he sets up the team.

He’s 18 and not going to be fantastic every game, since his injury he has been off if,
Also does he know he’s coming back to Everton in a few days, which could be effecting him. They will be worse off without him, that’s for sure

Was also noted further back in the thread that he was playing a different role which was more on the right side to stop the Wrexham left side attack.

He’ll be learning a lot and not always in his usual position, so it won’t all be top performances

Mixed reviews from what I can see, some say his worst game for them but it looks like a poor team performance and others comments for balance:

“Whiteman, Devine, Armstrong and Offiah for me are the only ones who started tonight who can return home with any credit.”

“Devine/Armstrong were the only players who looked capable of creating something.”

Really? I’m surprised so had a Quick Look , didn’t see any real criticism just these .

In fairness, Devine, Offiah and Armstrong were superb and were badly let down by the rest.

Whiteman, Devine, Armstrong and Offiah for me are the only ones who started tonight who can return home with any credit. Whiteman tried to play the ball forward at every opportunity and most attacks started with him.
Devine/Armstrong were the only players who looked capable of creating something.

I think that’s a fair summary , Devine was their best player .

This is exactly why he needs to stay with them the full season. He will have ups and downs with his form, and needs to learn to ride it out or grind it out....not just bring him back when he has a good spell.

These loans are as much about the "real" feel nature of mens football and how ruthless it is to get points, and its not all set up for these pampered Cat 1 academy kids to pass pass pass and the result means nothing like U18/U21 footy.

Leave him with them, and don't even consider his return this season. Maybe even next season on loan depending on how he comes back, and looks next to any recruitment.

18/19 is very very young to play center mid in the prem.
