2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

If we want to waste a players career out of position on the wing we have Alcaraz for that already. Let the boy cook for Preston this year.

I fear Rohl will go this way. I just want to see players in their correct positions and an Everton manager who can move past the impossibility of anyone else being able to play a defensive midfield role other than Idrissa Gueye.

….i’m sure the hope is we have 2 very strong long-term options for CM but you need players with versatility, indeed we’ve always had them in our most successful teams.

Seems like Rohl is a natural, we know Garner’s versatility and it also looks like Harrison can play different roles. Great for us going forward even we aim for ‘two for every spot’.

Agree to Disagree than..

I just dont want to see a refreshing thread on a talented young lad, get overheated because of sudden expectations, cant we just have a thread where we can just enjoy what we are seeing..

Their is already Moyes hate for loaning, moving him to wing, stat lists, soon it will be XG

Sad thing is, Moyes loves a square peg in a round hole.

A mix of Garner Rohl Iroegbunam Harrison Alcaraz does look good for the future. There’s players in there who I feel need to nail down a starting position to really kick on. It’s good that Garner for example can cover lots of positions but not sure it’s done him any favours during his time here. If he’d have had every game playing 6 the position he likes the most he might have more recognition with England than he currently does.

…..unless anybody knows different, I’m assuming we don’t have recall option in January.
This was a few weeks ago
In Paddy Boyland's article from the Athletic pertaining to Everton players on loan, he mentioned the possibility that Everton might pull his loan when Gana goes to AFCON to ensure there's a further coverage in the squad.

….of course he’s not a ‘winger’ but my question is could he be more effective on the right of a midfield than Dibling during AFCON?

We need cover for Ndiaye (I actually think Senegal could go all the way to the final), Dibling is the only conventional replacement but if he continues to fall short then Moyes will have to look at alternatives. McNeil I suppose if he’s still here.
Dibling continues to do what now? 🤔

Not when we have a 36 year old in midfield - who is struggling to perform 90 minutes & he is injury free...

What you call a square peg in a round hole - Moyes thinks Utility...a sort of footballing MRCA.
So when he can get them he loves a utility player...I know there have to be some specialists...
But 9 times out of 10 though Moyes go for who he thinks is he can trust, somebody who can do more than 1 position... could be a Scottish value for money thing - who knows

Thing is the next guy will have to come in, clear out yet another load of  Deadwood sorry, 'Utility' /Square peg type players re-pour whatever 'foundations' some people think Moyes is building and then rebuild the rebuilding

Do it once - Do it right...(or is it the other way round ?)
