2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

According to UEFA website, Armstrong is Captain of England Under-19 today in their qualifier against Serbia.

Serbia had these two playing

Both are full internationals with 2 and 8 caps.

No shame to lose to that side.

It's mad that they are playing a lad with 8 senior caps in an U19s international!

and someone who bournemouth signed to replace two lads who ended up at real madrid and psg

that is absolutely startling

would be not too disimilar to rooney playing an u19 game in 2004

Obviously the manager at Bournemouth doesnt sign the players.

Veljko Milosavljavic - 18 Centre back.
Alex Gimenez - 20 Right back
Julio Soler - 21 Left back
Ben Doak - 20 Right wing
Junior Kroupi - 19 Centre forward
Rayan - 19 Right wing

Previously Iraola had Kerkez, Huijsen and Zabarnyi who are now at the RS, Madrid and PSG. Now they have the wave of players above.

Their model of course is to sign potential stars, develop them and then sell for big money.

There's nothing stopping us building our own new wave of players around Armstrong, Graham, Dibling and Aznou + a couple more incomings.

Rather than selling, we're simply building out our squad at a lower cost and with forward planning.

@hetion this is what we touched on yesterday perhaps Armstrong (captain of England u19s) is the local player we build around.

do they not also get these players on the promise that they’ll sell them as soon as a big club comes sniffing?

i don’t think thats something our fanbase would and should tolerate

Correct. Why are we trying to emulate Bournemouth, a team below us in the league. There model is just based on survival rather than improvement/actually competing.

Bournemouth (a far smaller club) may have to provide buyout clauses to young players they sign.

We are not Bournemouth.

We can sign the same young players and not give them buyout clauses but instead present a pathway to the first team.
