2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

For the record, is better seeing the season out at Preston than sitting on the bench here. Needs the game time and the building experience, then a full pre season, then weighing up options.
He does not improve...
Mykolenko in any capacity
O'Brien into an overlapping pacy right back
Barry or Beto into composed confident strikers
Branthwaite's hamstrings

Leave him be, a watched pot never boils.
Agree. Moyes of course will decide, he’s swithered about a bit , but the last two matches have had four or five pointers for him : Garner and Tim have collectively been our best players so he won’t be worried about needing to reinforce the 6/8 positions; Rohl is fit again , he made the choice for his experience over Armstrong before; Armstrong is not ready to improve our attacking failings from midfield ; with Tim and Dibling playing he wouldn’t try integrating another youngster in January.
Also Preston are competing for promotion/ play off place , maybe not PL standard but highly competitive games for him.

I worry for this lad. The expectation is going to be so high for him when he returns that I'm not sure he will be able to live up to it.
A large portion of the fanbase have already convinced themselves he's the second coming.

It's only a matter time before the Everton Da's are giving him dogs abuse for losing the ball on the edge of the box, thus ruining his confidence.

Oldest story ever told.

No that's more we have a decent youngster, they show a bit in a few games, then one of the Sky vultures will come along and he will be gone before he has barely even played for us.

You need to get out of your online fan bubble.

A large proportion of real fans have never heard of the lad.

I think he's only being hyped up (maybe overhyped) online, most match going fans will see him as an extra body in an overstretched squad and will be interested to see how he fairs - if Moyes gives him minutes.

The home support has shown a lot of patience and support for our younger players this season. Thierno Barry, for example, is applauded off the pitch every game even after a poor showing.

Which fantastic young player has this happened to that makes it the oldest story ever told? Genuinely want to know as I feel like I'm missing something.
