Does anybody honestly believe we can beat any of the top teams in the premier league and possibly having to do it multiple times (with our luck)...before we can lift the cup??? Let’s focus on premier league survival so 40 points and once we get there let’s try to finish top half of the table...and let’s build the team starting now that could challenge those big teams perhaps next season. At the moment with our squad and injuries we are miles behind...maybe even try to finish 7 which will very likely be enough for Europe again as I don’t see anybody else apart from top 6 winning the cup.

It has been a disastrous season so far and now we have no other distractions there is, to my mind, no excuse not to finish in a top half position.

I honestly struggle to tell if people are genuine or just wum’s on here anymore, but no I’m not happy to be out as our season effectively ended last night.

Is this not just dejavu from every other time we have been in this position in recent years? Feels like all we have done for years is build a team and look where that has got us - bang average mid table side at best!

A win last night could of really kick-started our season. I guess we'll just stay around 9th for the duration now? I can't see us finishing much higher. I would be nice to have something to build on for next season.

We haven't been a cup side since the 80s, I'm not glad we are out but accept we wouldn't have won it. Also really hope we don't sneak into that dreadful Europa league by finishing 7th. Far too many nothing games In it and we always get embarrassed in Europe.
