Happy Blues

The thing is, when he arrives each game he always says hello and we have a laugh about how the day might pan out.
Once the game is under way though, he either sits there like a garden gnome saying nothing... or chunters to himself about selling Rom, ross and now Gerry... it's almost a relief when he sods off at the 70-minute mark :)

Swap seats with the guy in the swimming costume for one game. It may get rid of grumpy.

We're not called the Blues for nothing you know.

My Blues XI:

Blind Lemon Jefferson

Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon, Robert Johnson, Elmore James,

John Lee Hooker, BB King

Lightnin' Hopkins, Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker,

Howlin' Wolf

Guaranteed misery mixed with dazzling brilliance.

Always love going the game stopped going during the Walter days but season ticket holder with my 2 lads since early moyes days
Full support every game never liked losing but more than happy this season keep this team together sign a top class keeper
And another goal poacher this team WILL win trophies

It's hard not to enjoy how Everton are playing right now regardless of the results. I just hope that not capitalizing on our opportunities doesn't lead to league position that costs us our best players but that's down the road anyway.

Lemon scores, we riot!

At the game last night I was sat next to two guys who I had a good old chin-wag with. Like me, they love going the game. No moaning, just enjoying watching our team. It was good to chat with them.

So, do we have any happy blues here? maybe we should all sit together at the game and smile at everyone.

When I was a kid, going the game was a huge thrill. I did not worry about the points or other teams results. I just enjoyed seeing Everton play. Then I drifted into the panic mode and worried about every result and point. Now ( I am glad to say) I seem to have gone full circle and become the chilled out dude again. I am enjoying the games again. It is not all about winning, although that is always nice. Going the game has become fun again, and I like it.

The many years of being total crap are gone for us. The negative years of Moyes are gone. We have a decent side now. Some good players, some great players, and a few top notch players. It is not perfect, but I think these lads are starting to click together. They could be anything. We are in a cup semi-final, and look like easily getting into round 4 of the FA cup. The league is ok, we are not miles behind. This is the best it has been for a long time, enjoy it.

Any other happy Blues then give us a wave between the moaning posts that are sure to follow.

I'm happy watching the fume, there is nothing better to raise my spirits knowing Martinez is going nowhere, and knowing the whingers know this.

I admit that first fact is probably true in a job related physical sense...baring major boardroom shake up or total mike walker episode.

But I fear he may also be going nowhere in a over all success sense / general scheme of things sense as well.
And we'll still be in contention for the 7th-ish trophy, this time next season and the one after

He's taken us away from mind numbing football, so that's a big step, and I've got every faith that he will have us challenging for a top four place in the near future, a lot depends on us being able to hold onto our best players though, and with this board, that's a big ask.

History will be the judge...and hopefully kindly
