Sigs for me. Scored an absolute worldy and considering he hasn't played 90 minutes competitively through pre season and whatever he got back to defend and attacked and did it all very well. Impressed with that just hope he can keep it going and even improve which is likely to happen

Rooney quality again, Sigurdsson and Pickford won us the game.

Special mention for Leighton Baines, though. By no means finished at all.

Thought he had a very good game. thought we had the balance wrong tonight. Would liked to have seen DCL up top with Rooney in behind and Siggy on the left to Dovetail with Baines. The three of them (Baines, Siggy and Rooney) are absolute quality on the ball and I can see a lot of play coming down our left again. Just like the good old days.

We're likely to get one very good team, but there's likely to be at least one gash side too. No reason we can't get out the group. We always seem to perform better in one off games too. 2 leg ties seem to make us nervous.

Pretty typical Everton 'let's make hard work of it' performance that. Game management was obviously a big factor for a number of reasons but we rather muddled through that and the game itself was just a pain to watch barring the final 10 mins when we just started taking the piss out of them. That being said, we're safely through and that's what matters.

Thought DCL & Martina were great again. Besic hot and cold, certainly can't do the same job as Gana but his distribution is a lot better. Lennon bright when he came on and Gylfi was class in the second half with a quite unbelievable goal to boot. Rooney I'm a tad concerned that he's starting to look a bit tired but again his influence was important.

We were very defensive tonight thank goodness that wonder goal went in - even after that we sat back a good team performance in midfield working hard we sat back far too much imo Rooney and Sig with his goal and our keeper kept them at bay the rest were average !

The fact that I had to give thought to who deserves MOTM due to several stand-out performances really makes me happy. I went with Pickford but the margins were razor thin.
