Gylffi Sigurdsson is a good Premier League footballer. We knew exactly what we were getting when we bought him, albeit at an over inflated price. If there was ever a player whose ability and inability was well known it was him.
The problem is that we bought a player who we knew exactly what he could do and we try to get him to do something else.

He was playing in his preferred position today and he was still crap

For all his faults, at least at times Barkley demands the ball and tries to do something with it. He may lose it but at least he doesn't stand to the side, being told what to do by others.

You'd hope a player that costs the best part of 50 million would try and take over games.
