To be fair mate he’s come to Everton, a bigger club with supposedly better players and more expectation. He shouldn’t have to be carrying us.

I mean he has done some better finishing than most of our other players, but last games draw was largely on him. As bad as we played in that game, he had a good 4-5 opportunities to put good shots on frame and failed, with a couple of big whiffs. You cant have a 45 million player doing that.

I hope it was just a one-off, but my view in the summer was we shouldnt pay anything over 30 million, and it certainly didnt make sense considering we had just brought in 2 players to play that position. His free kicks are fantastic, but we are fouled so rarely in that area we dont take advantage of them.

You only had to listen to the Swansea fans when it was first touted we were interested, they said that he was the main reason they stayed in the prem.
