Would be a good signing - would look infinitely more dangerous at set pieces. Not as glamorous as Mata and do feel like 25mill is madness but everyone knows we have money and we have to pay a premium. Was going to say would add 10 goals and assists to out midfield but thats what ross already contributed last season. I just hope that Koeman can get Mata/Gylfi in and sort out the defensive side of Ross' game and we will look infinitely more dangerous with throughballs from our new number ten and Ross running from deep.

'Overpiced' comments are largely redundant. In football everyhting and everyone is overpriced. With this in mind, Sigurdsson would be a shrewd buy - essentially a much better version of Cleverley.

Would be as happy with this as I would have been with Mata, wish we had tried to get him a few seasons back. £25 million isn't too hefty at all when you look at the figures being quoted for some not so great players (Wijnaldum, Sissoko).

I've wanted Sigurdsson to come to us for years. Couldn't believe he went back to Swansea from Spurs, he's miles too good for them. Come home, Gylffi, you'll love it at Goodison.
