I think it's physical too he looks burnt out physically and mentally. He has never been fast but he used to put a massive shift in and lately clever on the ball, lately he doesn't even do that and his passing is awful and I can't remember the last shot he had.

Had one from 30 yards that nearly went out for a throw in against Arsenal.

I expect we need to bring in money and reduce wages for FFP reasons. Sigurdsson is still highly rated by many and he may be a player we could unload.

Unfortunately on his wages there will be no way he won't be here next season. Hopefully his role will be reduced to sub when we want to try something different. He just doesn't fit any system because even in 4-2-3-1 the players have to basically accommodate his slow playing style.

Absolutely certain he has a clause in his contract that says he has to start 90% of games he’s available for. Either that or he’s in there for set pieces and that’s it.

I think he’s in because Ancelotti likes his left wingers to come inside and be “10s”, Sigurdssons best position is 10. He shouldn’t be starting over Bernard for me.

Might as well hope he plays well, given that he plays anyway even when he’s absolutely shocking like last week.

I just want one of our managers, past or present to just come out and explain why they pick him. This is like an extreme form of gaslighting; we know he’s awful, but he still gets picked, so we doubt our own sanity.
