He was exactly the same last season. If there was ever a point to be made out of stats not telling the true story, it's Gylfi Sigurdsson. £10m is probably undervaluing him, in this market, but right now i'd pay someone to take him off us. Useless.

In the TV money era Siggurdsson didn't "really" cost what he cost
Beattie was back when we had little to no money and ended up being a really costly mistake at a time when we couldn't really afford one
Perspective is important
Contrast Beattie with Fellaini, who was another record signing and really delivered
The perspective is Mike, Sigurdsson was always going to be an anchor on our club with his cost.
It wasn't and never will be a successful transfer
