If true, a very big indication he’s finished.

Hope we punt him in the summer, £10m is probably the most we can hope to get back on him though.

Since he's been playing top flight, both here and in Germany, his worst goal return was the 6 he scored for us in his first season. He averages about 9 goals a season in his top flight career. I wouldn't say he's finished, as his 14 goals last season was his best ever return, but he's not fired at all this season.

He's definitely lost a yard this season though. He can't get into those shooting positions and was poor when he played as a ten, no assists and one goal in most of half a season. He needs to be moved on in the summer as amazingly other supporters and managers still rate him.

I can see it already.....we'l sell for like £15m to a Watford or Newcastle next season and he'l score 10 goals and bag 12 assists and we'l all say why didn't he do it for us last season.

I still have faith he'l come good, (ok I'm one of the 5% of fans who gets behind there players on here and still holds hope after a bad few months). We've now got Carlo ancelotti In charge therefore he will get the best out of players unlike Marco who had literally drained the life out of them all. Give all the lads time under Carlo and then we can all see if they have a future

Come good hes nearly 31 ffs.

Id be a big Gylfi fan, but all fit is he really getting a role in the engine room all fit, dubious, hes filling a hole there at the moment. With his contract situation, i think you have to look at him as low hanging fruit at his age, its possible he could leave in the summer.

Iceland have a very good change of making the Euros through the playoffs, if that comes to pass and he has a good tournament there may be a decent market for him.

Its a pity its never really happened for him here, hes a talent, but its been a time of turmoil at the club over all, he must have played under 4 or 5 managers.

if we do sell I promise you he will not score ten goals and 12 assists. They'll be lucky if he gets one of each.

Just a very poor player.

if somebody gives us £15M I would sell; he's wages being off the books alone will justify the loss on what we paid for him.

Just not suited to our system.

I am open, wen i say he's my least favourite Everton player of all time. He just doesn't belong at a "top" team. I don't for one second intend to suggest that's what we are, but we're a lot different to a Swansea or Iceland, who focussed predominantly on sitting deep, and soaking up pressure, he doesn't need to be quick or agile. fans.

That's what we need, quick and agile... alert. He's none of these. He's pushing 31, doesn't anticipate where the ball is going, consistently is behind play. due to being so flat footed, considering he is our "creative playmaker", rarely contributes.

As a forward he'd probably be perfect, bit like Calvert-Lewin, doesn't really contribute much, but regularly gets on the scoresheet (Well, last season). But he needs shipping, that derby performance against the kids, must even turn the most ardent of Gylfi fans.

Don’t care what he does at any other club, I just want him gone from ours. He is done here, past the point of no return. Nowhere near good enough.
