There was a time there where I thought he could run and get the ball, but he had to slide and it went out of play. I feel like he has put the effort in today, but he is way too slow.

To be fair, I could have been mixing up him and Schniederlin, they look pretty similar on a blurry stream. My blind hatred for Schneiderlin probably made me assume any effort or running was someone else.
