Against Sunderland last year was his best game. He's got good touches, a decent cross and pass, but he has practically zero pace. I can't name a single quality winger with no pace. Pienaar isn't lightning but he is nimble and can dribble round/make the extra yard for himself. Sadly don't think Geuye will ever cement a first team spot with us.

Oviedo on the other hand...

Quality. You say you can't think of any wingers with no pace, then in the very next sentence mention one  Chris Waddle didn't have any pace either, and to be honest Sheedy was never fast and didn't often beat his man.

We're supposed to be supporters FFS, get off the kids back (not aimed at you but the general level of hate in this thread).

I wouldn't call Pienaar a winger. He plays on the left side of our midfield but not like a winger. He invariably goes inside, making room for Baines. Sheedy and Waddle both played when the game was considerably slower than it is now, though I'd love either of them now cause they were good enough footballers to adapt to the pace of today's game. Gueye just looks miles too slow to try and play the way he does. He has good technique, but its no use tricking a man and knocking it past him if you're too slow to beat him to the ball. I don't think he'll make it as a winger, hopefully, the coaches will find a way to use him in a different position.

Looking back now with a calm head, guaye wasn't terrible the problem is he's not pienaar mirallas Donovan ect. He is nowhere near the quality we need to be pushing near the top. I think that's where the fume comes from.

He needs to move on or at least go out on loan but until we can bring others in he's needed in the squad i suppose.

This. Not quick thinking enough, but I'm not willing to completely toss him out until he gets game time. He would indeed be good to loan if we had depth. Which we of course, don't.

He had no urgency to get back when they broke and no urgency to get forward when we broke. really poor decision to bing him on. we suddenly had no pace and baines couldn't attack as much because he had no cover.

Hes a stronger Bily without the shot on him. To be honest though, i think he does have the potential to be a left-sided Valencia type player, not as good obviously. I dont know where his pace has gone though he looked rapid at first.

Our best two wingers are Mirallas and Pienaar. Our two deputy wingers seem to be Naismith and Anichebe. Then Oviedo and Gueye.

We could, and should, sell him without it effecting us at all. Last night we had three wide men out and Moyes still could have put on Oviedo instead had he wished.

Gueye looks at a loss when he recieves the ball...perhaps trying too hard not to make a mistake....confidence isn't their...nedds an arm around the shoulder and yes a loan move away
