Hey our owners are parasites we know that but this about a club spending billions and dodgy deals all over the show , fine if it stops Liverpool winning i can understand Everton being pleased but the reality is now any club can do anything they want and UEFA can do nothing

I'm with Wenger;

FFP needs binning, it was brought in too late and it exists now to keep a hierarchy.

Personally, it was always just a cash cow for UEFA.
You can't penalise an owner, who has money, for spending money making that team better.

City Group have invested billions expanding their portfolio, supporting leagues round the world, for City themselves, they've regenerated the entire area, new academy stadium, improved hospitality, potential new area, forerunner for expanding the Women's game. They've done loads, can't see how they should get punished.

For FFP to be successful, it had to be a salary cap and everyone on the same page. For them to limit spending, still meant City were going to get more money than Everton, so it was just restricted. In MLB, they have a luxury tax threshold, where teams who exceed a given rate, pay an extra amount of money if they exceed an "x" amount, that would have worked.

Of course this is brilliant for Everton, but realistically, I just think it's a big kick in the balls for UEFA, trying to fleece teams.

They cheated and lied about it.

They didn’t buy Everton.

Also try to be more polite to people would you?
We didn't cheat, we have just been exonerated. The only charge that stuck is the one for non co-operation, and you can hardly blame them for that after everything they handed over in confidence was being leaked to the media the next day. CAS, who are independent said there was insufficient evidence to charge us and most of it was time barred anyway. They were effectively breaking their own rules in an attempt to stitch us up.

City are a small tinpot club and have received the biggest financial doping in the history of English football and have flouted all the laws and bought stakes in about 8 other clubs and have unlimited oil funds , uefa are silly useless muppets and are now dead n the water , they have no authority now

i appreciate this is incredibly nuanced, but my understanding of the case from this morning is that CAS have decided that under the 5 year statute of limitations, UEFA cannot punish city for what happened more than 5 years ago.

In layman's terms, does this open the window for UEFA to tighten up these rules and enforce tighter, rather than loosen FFP?

It feels like the only card they have to play here is to aknowledge they lost due to the below, but ensure FFP is managed as tightly as possible.
