Hmm

Worse than those comparison's of Everton's commercial operation with those of competitors is the comparison between it's own performance a decade ago with today. It's virtually stagnant. An incredible 'achievement' in a game that's seen commercialisation in that period go through the roof.

I'm confused - are you saying it's more expensive to live in Liverpool than London?
Yes mate, the cost of living in London is cheaper, they are paid way more then us and if you go in supermarkets the food is the same price, gas/elec and water is much cheaper in London, house prices are more but I'm talking about day to day living

I've never lived in Liverpool, so I'll have to take your word for that.

I'm sorry mate, but that is absolutely ludicrous to suggest that Liverpool is more expensive to live in than London, have you seen the rent prices for a house in London? London is by far, the most expensive place to live in, in the UK!

I know that us and a club in the relegation battle have a commercial deal in place from the same company. Take a guess who gets paid more???? I'll give you a clue, not us.

Relegation isn't down to their financial management where they appear to have done much better than us recently

The financial 'stability' is achieved by not paying high wages, thus they cannot sign the best players, so they get relegated, which leads to financial instability. We have considerably better players than Norwich, and it has cost us more...and the latest accounts show that we've reduced wages as a percentage of turnover. Comparing them with us regarding 'better management' is like comparing a guy in a local newsagents who's pretty good at accounts with a major retail chain...almost.

I agree rent is expensive I don't disagree but general living in London is a lot cheaper on a day to day basis, they earn a lot more then we do, there gas/elec and water bills are a lot lower, supermarkets are the same price as here, a pint is slightly more expensive and petrol the same price. Rent is more expensive but they earn so much more, example is a profession brick layer can earn up to 100k a year in London, where my father in law earns around 30k

Thats, slightly incorrect.

Workers, like civil servants, police, airline staff, security etc will get a 'London Weighting' in their wage packet up slightly; and people like your father law I take it our contractors/self employed so they can choose their own rate etc

Someone doing my job in London will be probably 5-10% more plus, if required London Weighting. So if we say that I earn £2300 after tax here and £2500 in London; my rent and council tax in Liverpool is £800, compared to London were this would be closer to £1600-£1700 then no, the cost of living is not cheaper in London.

Cost of living is not just how much things are in the shop, its the actual cost to live which includes rent, utilities etc etc and London is one of the most expensive places in the World if i'm not mistaken
