Germany got all they deserve today. And it has to come back on Jogi Löw, all that was on him. His managment and coaching of this team in the last few months has been very poor. No excuse today to bring back in players who did nothing to deserve to be in.

I hope Germany make a big brave decision now and move on from him, and move on from some players too. Time for a new coach who won't play favourites as much. Germany have plenty of very good young players ready to move up.

aye it's a one way street, spent the last three years working for a german company with a lot of german folk, we would do well to adopt some their life philosophies and they really don't have any ambivalence to England as footballing nation, quite the opposite actually. Lovely friendly women as well

I've lived in Germany for the last 10 years and I wouldn't dismiss the rivalry completely, but yeah it's not hate. My feeling is they see us more as an annoying little brother who they quite easily put in their place every now and then. They've definitely taken a fair bit of joy at our misfortune over the last 10-15 years. Their pundits make jokes at our expense fairly regularly etc.

Im sure you subscribe to the kopite school of thought that Man Utd are Liverpools rival and we're an irrelavance because we dont compete.

Just because youre a football hipster who likes Germany - it doesnt mean theres no England/Germany football rivalry.
