Right to disallow it. Petty but right.
As a former amatuer keeper, I'd expect that to be disallowed. The keeper's dive would have been impeded. They always give those to the defence. Whether he would have saved it is another thing, but the man was clearly in his line of dive. France got away with one, but not unexpectedly.

It's technically correct under the rules. With the way VAR works, I think the assistant's decision stands either way. It was out the moment the flag went up.
My criticism is not the decision itself. It's how long these bumbling incompetents took to make a fairly standard decision.

Bloody hell, do they have VAR for park football in Germany? That's impressive 👏.

I think it was harsh

Keeper didn’t even react until the ball went past him regardless, but that’s not the issue here.

Make your decision quicker.

Not a chance. The keeper has no intention of diving for it, you can see it's past him before he even makes a move. Maignan flags his arm for an offside, not an obstruction.

If the keeper knows he's there, he's not going to dive.

We might not like it but he's definitely interfering/offside.

Can someone tell Jenas they were not trying to scratch the goal using VAR because it was given offside on the pitch, so they were trying to give it if they were taking that long?
