20,000 Scottish supporters on their way to London according to media. Many without tickets!
I think I have posted this before somewhere, apologies if it was on here.
I was at the England v Scotland game at Wembley when Gazza scored. Before the game, I had got to the stadium a bit early. It was a lovely sunny day so I stayed outside the ground soaking up the atmosphere. I was stood at a barrier next to a guy with his young son. He had a strong Glasgow accent, was stripped to the waist and covered with tattoo's. A guy passing by must have heard the Scottish accent and stopped. He turned out to be a reporter. From his posh accent obviously one of the upmarket broadsheets. He took out his notebook and asked a couple of questions. Then he said 'you obviously think Scotland will win?' The Scotsman said 'we've no 'effin chance'. End of interview.
