He wasn't exactly on the cheap for the time, more like mid-range.

Also fwiw they gave Eriksen a chance, he played in over 20 games in his first season and didn't look great from the start but they stuck with him.

It’s deliberate as in his hand can’t natural be up like that with any movement he made. Let that go and every centreback starts jumping with hands raised to block any headers. As long as the hold their hands up before the jump then by your logic that’d be ok.

You try jumping for a header with your hands by your side. I'd hazard a guess that you won't win very many.

Considering where the ball was going prior to the deflection, that was not an unreasonable position.

Yep. Confused by people who don't see that as a pen. Unnatural position, stops a goalbound effort, clear pen. That's not a debatable one - it's exactly what VAR is supposed to be used for, and those who don't think that's a pen don't understand the rules.
