Group B - England, Russia, Slovakia, Wales

It seems the common concerns us is that England played well. Didn't see it myself.

Agreed.
The first half - average. The second half - turgid.
For the equaliser - the two central defenders were ball-watching. One should have been picking up the big guy who knocked in the equaliser. The attack was not over. Instead, they were both drawn towards the ball on the Russian left. If Stones or Jags was on the pitch, they would have been blamed for not picking up the attacker instantly. I hope none of our players get on the pitch in this tournament, for the simple reason that I don't want to see/hear them get slaughtered by a biased media. Let them continue to slobber over Lallana & Sterling. Only surprise was that the Goon from the Toon didn't get a game...

Can you name a better English coach/manager whos English and is available?
a) why English?
b) why available?
c) why does this stock question get rolled out by the pragmatists as a reason to stick with a cack manager? Worrying about the quality of the potential replacement is not a reason to stick with a crap manager.

Amazingly, the same question was asked when Martinez began his fall from grace. And look what we've got now.

Who I think would do a better job?

Redknapp or allardice would do a far better job.

Redknapp would know more about attacking and allardice is extremely experienced and would know how to get results against different opposition.

For starters the pair of these would choose players good enough to play international football.

Let's see how if Woy has the balls to drop Sterling,Lallana and Kane for Vardy,Rashford and Barkley/Wilshere for the Wales game

Agreed Redknapp would attack more but he is a bit naive defensivly imo. Wouldnt have Allardyce, yes he could defend but he wouldnt cut it at international level, again imo

Or not enough

I also think we have had more players represent Elnglad than any other team.

Should call them Yidland.

That's only because most of England's home games are at Wembley, and if there wasn't a generous smattering of London-based players, Wembley would be half empty for most games. When a donkey like Peter Storey gets far more England caps than Howard Kendall, that says it all...

We've tried 2 x foriegn managers and they failed with the players at their disposal.

No chance mate, Hodgson said that the way he wants to set - up, those 2 players are key to that system, and he hasn't got the balls to try something different.

The starting 11 next game, will be the starting 11 from tonight.

I actually like big Sam, think he deserves a chance. For what he is as a club manager he is massively under rated. But club management and international management are two different things, would have liked to see him given a shot to finally get some recognition.

See Harry is less defensively able sure. But the flip side is he is picking the best possible English back 4, so best centre halves and so on. If noone in the set up can get the best this country can offer and make them at least competent then that is a concerning thing. Everything outside the defence is massively influenced by the coach. But defenders defend, they don't have to worry about anything other than not letting the other team score.

The only English name I would want less than Roy is pardew personally.

On a side note.

All this trouble from English fans going on. I wonder how many of them are actual ticket holders and how many of them are just yobs who jumped on the eurostar to get drunk and cause trouble for a laugh?
