You cannot (should not) be picked for your country when you're barely playing for your domestic side. Especially when, on the occasions you do play, you absolutely stink the place out. What message does that show to players who have performed excellently all season yet have to sit on the bench and watch Maguire get selected? it's utterly ridiculous by Southgate and I hope England bomb out asap because of it.
