USA were much better in the first minute? Sorry no, didn’t notice this one. What I did notice, was England setting up exactly the same as they do in the knockout stages of every tournament. Nobody running beyond Kane when he drops deep, midfielders not even attempting to get in the box, full backs refusing to overlap. Sorry if you want to believe that we went out there and had a 50/50 with you and it didn’t work, but I’ve been watching football and this England team long enough to know what I’ve seen. England got the result the manager wanted, and he stated as such after the game.

No one has said that. The US were by far the better side in the game, they were the only side that showed any ambition whatsoever to try and win the game.

The problem Mount is having is that he's been a full time forward for Chelsea for a few seasons now. He's really not a midfielder anymore and real midfielders gave him trouble yesterday.

Fair enough. I do think for 60 minutes England were in the fight though. They got scared by that period after halftime.
