Well that was awful. But we are basically through unless we get battered by an awful Wales side. And given the way group A is playing out it’s not clear whether finishing 1st or 2nd is preferable. Southgate’s depressing pragmatism seems to pay off once again. I’d have rather we actually had a go though rather than being bored to death and made to feel way more uncomfortable than necessary.

Bringing on Henderson ahead of Foden should be a sackable offence though. Starting Mount ahead of him is bad enough.

He will play for a point against Wales because it’ll “put us through”, and Iran will beat USA and top the group.

I struggle to care when it's a team I don't care about. I think I half care about England results, so it's more than meh! But not not much! Ha

Thought it was very even. US had the best chance with McKennie but neither did enough to feel they should have won. I can't say I'm confident we're going to get the job done Tuesday. However being able to legitimately compete with a team of England’s quality shows how close we are these days.
