Pathetic performance, offered absolutely nothing going forward. Big questions for Gareth Southgate, that showing was severely limited. The US played well but England massively underperformed.

England in recent years have proven themselves to be a formidable tournament team and I was hoping we’d have followed up the Iran battering by putting down another marker. I’m his has bought me right back down to Earth. That was Sven and Capello levels of dreadful.

To be fair, he’s had massively kind draws in the last two tournaments. His negativity has seen us beaten by the only decent teams we come up against on both occasions.
