Pathetic performance, offered absolutely nothing going forward. Big questions for Gareth Southgate, that showing was severely limited. The US played well but England massively underperformed.

England in recent years have proven themselves to be a formidable tournament team and I was hoping we’d have followed up the Iran battering by putting down another marker. This has bought me right back down to Earth. That was Sven and Capello levels of dreadful.
