There is space needed for manoeuvrability of wheelchairs, so taking out more seating than just the front row. Take a closer look at the disabled area in the corner of the Gwladys to see what I mean. That particular section holds perhaps around 50 wheelchairs but it resulted in the loss of some 300 seats.Well if the first couple of rows are removed, won't that just create a new front row, a bit further back?
@ashwuk76Saw a 40 yard Matty Holland volley catch a paralysed fella square in the chops once. During the warm up. Poor fella saw it coming the whole way but was powerless to move.
Well with all due respect, it's not something that effects me so why would I know. The OP only alludes to removal of seats so that's what's being discussed. Don't come giving it the 'I dunno, some people...' routine when we're only working with what we're given.Reading the comments on this thread goes to show just how little people know about disability in particular a clubs obligations or indeed the needs of disabled supporters. It's not just about taking out a couple of rows out for wheelchairs or putting in a lift or allocating an area in a certain stand. The issues go far wider and include facilitating the needs of disabled supporters who are ambulent and those that are non ambulent. The needs of those with hearing disability or those with no or limited sight. The provision of disabled toilets with easy access the provison of radar key facilities and so on
To meet obligations the facilities have to be for both home and away supporters

Well you didn't show us any so I guess that makes us even.Once someone starts with the classic "With all due respect" tends to say it all

Really? Try reading some of the comments and just try to think how they would be taken by someone who is disabled. To me some seem to be to.erating those with a disability along the lines of don't give this or that because and how about squeezing them in somewhere else.
At last GP is to undergo improvements for the disabled, albeit something forced upon the club by an agreement made last year involving all PL clubs.
Obviously the alterations and expansion of the facilities will reduce ground capacity even further but I hope the changes are done properly and provide for better vantage points than currently. It might be too much to ask, but I'd also like to see some thought being given to how the changes can be made without eating up all the first row of seating around the stadium. The proximity of the crowd to the pitch, particularly at the Street End, has always been important at GP. Front row seats are also sought after by youngsters who like to get as close to their heroes as possible.
Take out the clearly insincere posts and the rest have been best effort responses. All you've done in stride in chest all puffed out and tarred everyone with one big brushstroke.quote gone wrong
