Green light for the Super League?

"European Court of Justice have ruled that UEFA and FIFA acted against competition law when they blocked the formation of the European Super League in 2021. "

FIFA, can't stop them - fair enough, off they go sooner the better
They can make it awkward for the players Re. Internationals though
But if the Sandi's get invloved like LIV Golf
Money will talk and FIFA will eventually fold

So clubs will remain in the ‘Star League’ for evermore unless they finish rock bottom of the Star League, regardless of domestic performance. But clubs being relegated from the Blue League will be based on domestic performance. Maybe they will need to finish 12th in the PL to ensure their ‘blue league’ status?

It’s nonsense that is not desirable to the consumer imo. There’s too much opposition against it for it to come off.

It’s definitely desirable to Americans and fans in the Far East and Africa. They outnumber us legacy fans by quite a bit.

So will they get their " fines" back ? God love them. Acted against competition law, wow ! Then what did financial fair play or profit and sustainability do ? Jesus the sheer cheek of them, beginning to truly hate modern day football, its being killed.
P&S has never been tested in a court of law.. I'd imagine if it was it would fold like a bad umbrella.

they can leave but the PL and UEFA dont have to let them play in their comps

I was wrong

There is a punishment if they decide to join the ESL but that’s a £25m and a points deduction.

That does not go far enough as a points deduction as we have shown could mean little in the grand scheme of things and the money they would earn a £25m fine is nothing.

Expulsions from the football leagues and all titles stripped from the club is the only punishment that would work.

The football governance bill can strip licences from those clubs playing home games at their grounds is the biggest punishment

If the sly 6 feck off, the “other 14” are going to get a severely reduced yearly payment when Sky/TNT/Amazon deastically reduce their payment. What a mess this could be.
