Greek Financial Crisis

German institutions are into this up to their necks. The threats now will all subside and they'll climb down and do deals.

The Greeks have stood tall and brought their aggressors to their knees.

And what will happen when/if Greece defaults on those deals? Because if they do not sort out the deeper issues there, they will. Sure as night follows day.

This is hugely symbolic, but it is fairy tale economics to think this is IT. Because IT isnt.

It'll repeat if the Greeks dont now get on top of the corruption of the Greek oligarchs and their political backers.

Quite.

Lets see how the Net Worth of the current Greek cabinet and PM, *ahem*, "alter" shall we? Not tomorrow, or next week, but y'know.....

The Germans will get a bloody nose, but it will hardly bring them to their knees, especially with the surplus deficit they've been building up over the last decade.

All very touching mate, but if anyone thinks life for the normal Greek population is suddenly bathed in a socialist utopian sunrise, I feel they might be in for a shock.

It is great that the people of Greece have told the Eurocrats to basically do one, but their future is unpredictable, to say the least. I hope they come out of the other side fine, but their track record of governance in the last 50 years or so has hardly been a proud one.

Could we swap them for Scotland. Both basket cases who no one can understand but at least the Greeks have sunshine......

The people have spoken.

Kind of ignores the point that the Greek "people" voted to join the EU/Euro in the first place. Or does that not count?

And pretty sure tons of other countries "people" voted the same one once upon a time.

edit. "Eurozone". Yeah probably is then. Apart from Ireland and a few others. Kind of.

Not sure what your saying mate but this wasn't a vote to leave the EU it was a vote on the bail out package offered

I can't believe that the Greeks will vote against doing what those nice Germans (the ones who killed and robbed them blind in WW2) want them to do........inconceivable.........
