Yeah I heard Bret would be back so I watched it myself. You'd think after being away for 12 years they'd have done something better.

The guy is on his arse Adam, he hates McMahon over the death of his brother Owen, he needed the money and McMahon will milk it to death. As for Shawn Michaels, real name Michael Shawn Hickenbottom. was voted the least trusted pro wrestler, he really is McMahon bum boy. This Bret Hart thing transcends any playing acting, it is really and I can only guess that Hart beats McMahon at Wrestlemania otherwise I doubt if even McMahon has enough money to get Hart back

I was under the impression that Hart, having suffered a stroke and serious concussions in the past, wouldn't be in any condition to get back in the ring. Perhaps things are really bad for him that he feels the need to do this? Personally I think on the show McMahon and Michaels made Hart look like he'd crawled back begging for forgiveness. Sad really.

Last I heard he was needing a near heart transplant, McMahon is a super saleman of tat Adam

I think its highly unlikely Hart will actually wrestle.

He's not back for the money, he's back for the love of it. For the last 12 years he's been a bitter old man over what happened but has finally got over it and is doing the best thing for everyone, and that is go back to where he belongs and finally put a lid on one of the biggest stories in wrestling.

Vince had his reasons, Shawn had his reasons and Bret had his reasons for the whole incident but to go 12 years without resolving it is ridiculous. But finally everyone appears to of grown up.

Monday was fine because Hart wasn't capable of coming in as the pissed off guy who wants revenge, he is the guy who wants to make things up and just be back where he feels he belongs. Vince can go heel again eventually letting Hart get some kind of victory at Wrestlemania.

Best storyline way to go.

and Owen Hart had his reasons! I saw the Honky Tonk man interviewed about the WWE, just had nothing good to say about it or McMahon.................................just wait for Wresatlemania, the annual McMahon self indulgence match will be against Bret Hart

I hope this is the case mate. I think Stu Hart being honored in the Hall of Fame had a lot to do with Hart coming back.

Most people seem to leave WWF/WWE on bad terms don't they.

I post this because Tony Halme (Ludvig Borga) has passed away now, aged just 47. RIP.

Tony Halme - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT has defended itself against accusations it is to blame for the staggering amount of wrestlers dying before the age of 50.

The company has come under fierce criticism in recent years over the deaths — many of which were caused by painkiller, steroid and drug addiction.

Former WWE stars Andrew 'Test' Martin, 33, and Eddie 'Umaga' Fatu, 36, died in 2009 — adding to a long list that also includes Eddie Guerrero, 'Mr Perfect' Curt Hennig, Crash Holly and British hero Davey Boy Smith.

However, in an interview with the website Human Resources, WWE spokesman Robert Zimmerman highlighted the company's Talent Wellness Program and Former Talent Rehabilitation Assistance Program in its defence.

Introduced in 2006 and 2007 the twin systems aim to stop drug use among current WWE wrestlers and help any ex-stars by paying for their rehab.

Talking about the wrestlers who have died young, Zimmerman pointed out that most of them were not actually employed by the WWE when they passed.

He then said: "We don't know what they took as kids. We don't know what they've done after they've left.

"So the only thing we can do is obviously do what we're trying to do, which is make them abide by the Talent Wellness Program when they are contracted by us and then offer any kind of rehab assistance after they've left."

However Zimmerman's claims have come under fire from a number of wrestling critics.

James Caldwell, of the popular PWTorch newsletter and website, said: "This is a classic example of WWE wanting to have its cake and eat it too.

"WWE wants to own the wrestling industry, act like there's no other promotion in the world, yet defer responsibility for the issue of wrestler deaths plaguing the wrestling industry during WWE's rise to prominence over the last 25 years."

Last night I watched as a matter of interest, the debut of Hogan with TNA, he is not there as a wrestler (ffs he is in his late 50's bro) but to actually run it on behalf of the owners and Spike TV.

It was a fascinating incite into this supposed sport. TNA had a history of using young talented athletes, very few had rippling drug induced muscles, most were high fliers Mexican style and it was very entertaining. When it started it was 'owned by Jeff Jarret (the guy who stole Honky's guitar gimmick) and in fairness to him he had quite passable story lines, it was pleasant change from WWE.

Last night that show had been broadcast in the States live up against Monday Night RAW for the first time. Out of nowhere TNA has suddenly got a host of has beens turned up, Scot Hall, Sean Walkman, the Nasty Boys and Val Venis, all WWE cast offs. Also joining that roster was Eric Biscoff, Jeff Hardy (he has been there before) and believe it or not Ric Flair. (McBain had opened a thread before Christmas concerning what he thought had been a real fight between Flair and Hogan in Aus, I had suggested it was a stunt and this proves it)

I can only envisage the likes of Hall, Walkman, Venis and the Nasty boys are there for Hogan to fire early on, making him look good to the fans. What this did do was emphasised how many former WWE wrestlers are ready to bring the McMahon's down, Flair and Hogan made the McMahon's. Already on the TNA roster are Angel, Lashley, Nash, Foley (another WWE legend) and a host of lesser lights who get better TV time with TNA than they ever did at WWE.

The one death the McMahon's deny having any part in was Chris Benoit, he murdered his wife and child then killed himself. There is a thread on this site that gives the autopsy results on Benoit's body, his brain was damaged because of in ring knocks and his entire system riddled with the effects of pain killers....................all due to wrestling for the McMahon's and making them millions.

At least TNA wrestlers only have to be in ring with that company once or twice a week, WWE can be five or six times and they have to travel thousands of miles in between bouts, it is a circus. That expectation never gives guys a chance to recover from aches, pains, cuts and bruising hence the WWE wrestlers are far more likely to take pain killers and other narcotics such a sleep pills.

If the McMahon's are to be userped as the number one name it will require TNA to do what WWC failed to do, I wish them luck

Christ Umaga died aswell?

During the weekend of August 30, 2007, articles posted by Sports Illustrated, the New York Daily News, and The Washington Post named Fatu as one of a number of superstars to have purchased pharmaceuticals from an online pharmacy, a violation of the WWE "Talent Wellness" program. Fatu specifically was said to have received somatropin, a growth hormone, between July and December 2006, after the "No drugs from online sources" rule was instituted. Fatu violated this rule again in 2009. Due to his unwillingness to seek rehabilitation, Fatu was released from his WWE contract.[51][52]
On April 27, 2008, Fatu's mother Vera died after a seven-year battle with cancer.[53]
[edit] Death

A few days prior to December 4, 2009, Fatu had returned home to Spring, Texas after completing a wrestling tour with Hulk Hogan in Australia.
On December 4, 2009, Fatu was hospitalized after his wife found him not breathing with blood coming out of his nose a few hours after he had fallen asleep the night before while watching television. He was rushed to a local hospital in Houston, Texas and was admitted into the intensive-care unit.[54] It was reported that Fatu had suffered a heart attack.
Fatu was pronounced dead around 7:00 PM central time after suffering a second heart attack.[5][55][56] He was 36 years old

RIP Big man

Yeah I watched the TNA show the other night too. Hogan was brought in alongside Eric Bischoff with a view to turn TNA around and hopefully turn them into a major player up against WWE. To do this though they need to build new, young stars with the help of the old guys.

Wrestling fans need an alternative to WWE who have been comfortable sitting on their cloud alone since WCW and ECW died for the best part of a decade. Safe in the knowledge there was no opposition they’ve been churning out a mediocre product for the most part.

Not only do the fans require an alternative to the McMahon Empire, so do the wrestlers themselves. They only had WWE to aim for as a place to earn the big bucks before TNA came along, although truth be known only the higher card in WWE are able to save enough of their earnings to have the option of getting out of the game early and be able to live comfortably. For the rest they have to spend a large percentage of what they earn on their own travel and accommodation every week as WWE see them as “independent contractors” these days. TNA being a competitor could give the wrestlers more leverage when demanding better working conditions and better pay. As you say TNA offer a lighter schedule (as WCW did) which many of beat up wrestlers prefer (naturally). WWE’s schedule (although slightly better than it used to be) is ridiculous, it’s no wonder these guys become addicted to painkillers, sleeping pills and the rest.

I too wish TNA the best. They already have a cult following, the addition of Hogan and Flair (hopefully they will only wrestle on special occasions) can only help their fan base grow. They seem intent on doing things the right way for the younger guys in TNA, let’s hope that turns out to be the case.

I agree that it is good for wrestling that TNA is there as a decent form of competition to the WWE. The fact is though, WWE doesn't see it as competition. WWE has competition with all other forms of entertainment, not just TNA.

They have competition with UFC, Monday Night American Football, Baseball and other forms of entertainment every single week. TNA does not have the global brand that WWE has. WWE can do bad in the ratings in America but they make up for it overseas.

They make a load of money in the UK, Mexico, Europe and Australia, something which TNA cannot do. WWE are established worldwide, they are the original and i think they will continue to be the best. However it is good for the Wrestling industry that TNA are offering some form of competition

WWF & WCW

Way back in the day when i used to watch wrestling I really liked that there was two good federations.. I would prefer WCW... Sting"s white flaptop was class!!
