Great individual Everton players of the past 20 years that never won a trophy with us

Our recent woes got me thinking - granted we've seen some poor Everton sides over the past 20 years, but also a lot of Everton sides that finished in the top 6 over the past 10 years in particular, and for whatever reason, contained some great players that just never really got to win a trophy with us.

Who stands out to you as the greatest Everton player to never win a trophy for us? I don't mean likes of Rooney, who only spent 2 seasons with us. I mean somebody who spent a significant period with us and just never managed to pick up a winners medal with us.

For me, I'd say:

Tim Cahill
Mikel Arteta
Tim Howard (yeah, I know he's poor at the moment)
Leighton Baines

They're the main ones for me. All of them 'deserved' to win something with us, you could say. Any more?

I thought Richard Gough was fantastic for just over a couple of years,Davie Weir was pretty solid during a generally poor period too.

Was going to say kanchelskis but he wasn't here long enough and big dunc has that fa cup medal even if only as a sub.

So yeah Cahill, Baines and Arteta. Maybe Felli, too.

Andrei kanchelsis was the best right winger on the world the year before we bought him and his first 15 months with us. His head got turned after that but no one can deny we had a genuine world class player here. Still can't believe we signed him after he was winning everything in sight to join us. Oh to have Andrei on the right and miralles on the left now.
