The developer we paid to create it doesn't do it anymore, and the developer who said she'd fix it for us went AWOL.

Bespoke apps are expensive, and a nuisance because they need updating/compliance checks all the time. Google/Android removed our app because it violated some new terms (which turned out was allowing YouTube embeds which could earn money through sponsored ads). So basically, the app having an inapp web browser that could be used to view youtube ads in this forum was a violation.

Will sort an app again one day, one that aids the browsing of the forum. The last one we had was alright, but you'd be daft to use it for the forum - there was no benefit at all. It was just a smaller screen to browse the forum.

I removed the sidebar from the thread views years ago because pulling that information used to drain the server, but our server doesnt flinch above 1% of capacity these days so just seeing.

I'm thinking Latest Activity could do well down the side so real time stuff is happening but cant seem to work out how to exclude current affairs froum it.

Not sure myself yet - going to give it a few days though before exploring if we can do anything else with it that would be more useful.

People dont like change.

Just think the threadview as it was is a little wide and readability could be better.

I kinda like the easy access to Amazon, but it makes reading and navigating the forum harder. And thats on a wide laptop screen. Whats it like on a phone?
