Time to almost make a move, but keeping it short, what movies are your favorites but by the same token you feel kind of embarrassed of admitting it, watching them at home with the curtains drawn, that sort of thing.

I'll begin.

1. Commando (1985). Schwarzenegger in perhaps his greatest role other than the first terminator, goes on the rampage after his daughter is abducted and throws pipes into Freddie Mercury look-a-likes.
'I eat green berets for breakfast', total nonsense, but I've always loved it.

2. The Beach (2000) don't know why, but I think this is a great film, Di Caprio is great here, after the nonsense of Titanic, meets some french tourists in Thailand and a super crazed Robert Carlyle, paradise soon turns into a bloody mess.

3. Ferris Buellers Day Off (1986) Broderick was still fresh from WarGames, and pulled off another masterpiece, it looks dated now, Chicago no longer has the tallest building in the world, and I hated that twist and shout crap, totally spoilt it for me with that, but if you can overlook that, worth a watch if only once.

4. Midnight Express (1978) many have castigated it for various reasons, it wasn't filmed where it should of been, the lead actor died of Aids some years later, half of it is in Maltese, can't understand what is being said, but for sheer power and emotion it stands unparalleled.

5. Predator (1987) him again, this time having a platoon in the Central American jungles being picked off one by one by some out of this earth type thing, who ends up being killed, never mind, if you've seen it, you know what happens.

do feel free to add your own.

So bad it's good category:

First Blood. John Rambo's CO telling the State Troopers he has them surrounded.

Die Hard #1. John McClane getting told he shouldn't be blocking the emergency frequency: 'No fcuking [Poor language removed], lady. Do I sound like I'm ordering Pizza?'.

2 spring to mind.

I enjoyed the Bourne movies very much with Matt Damon.

The second series has surely got to be The Matrix.

Willis was only about 33 when he did the first Die Hard.

'ho ho ho,. now I have a machine gun'

glad they kept that annoying wife of his out of the third flim.

First Blood, that's Commando you know with different actors, exactly the same.

that rambling at the end was quite funny, when it was all over.

Ferris Bueller is class - don't sell yourself short.

Revenge of the Nerds - a heart-warming story about the triumph of the downtrodden.

Blazing Saddles - if you've never watched it, you've never lived. Cleavon Little - we barely knew ye.

"They said you was hung."
"And they was right."

Gallipoli - always been a big fan of this movie. Mel Gibson before he was Mel Gibson.

Goodfellas - "I always wanted to be a gangster."

Pure class.

Personally like all vampire films, good, bad and indifferent.
Re-running the whole 7 seasons of Buffy over here at the moment. And I'm loving it.

The best i can think are:

1.Forrest Gump

2. Van Wilder (all parts)

3.Bourne Ultimatum

4. The breakfast club

5. Mystic River

6.Shooter

7. 21

8. Gangs of new york

9.Happy Gilmore

10. First Blood

11. Paranormal Activity

Just a few for now (y)

LOVE the Die Hard films, but hardly a guilty pleasure as they're immensely ace.

Maybe Men in Black, Ghostbusters and Bruce Almighty are guilty pleasures? But again I likes them so not that arsed if others think they're crap (y)

Is the 4th Die Hard any good? Haven't bothered watching it yet. The first one is especially ace. I actually wore my tape (tape!!) out when I was younger rewinding the bit at the start where the woman was in the nip.

Ghostbusters was the first film I saw at the cinema. I still cover my eyes at that library bit.

Rumours of a 3rd Ghostbusters film still get me moist. Also rumours of Gremlins 3.

Die hard 4 is a bit lame. Its decent if you like the series, but its not the strongest. Watching him ride on the wing of an F15 in the City was a bit strange. But its watchable crap, yippee kai hey mother ****er.

Agreed.

Not as good as 1 and 3, but still decent if, like me, you enjoy a fairly mindless action film.

EDIT - Oh, and add Under Siege 2 to my list. It's like Die Hard on a train with Steven Seagall as Bruce Willis. Quite clearly crap but it's awesome at the same time.
