Be weird for him to buy a player who will want to go straight in to the team, Brighton was more a conveyor belt then Chelsea is. Not convinced that Abra will do the running that Potter will want so won’t play and will likely cause trouble

Absolutely stupid move by Potter.

At Brighton he was building something, and he's clearly a project builder.

At Chelsea he'll be sacked within the next 6 months. Tuchel was a high calibre manger. He just needed time.

I hate modern football
Huge payoff and will be able to pick up a biggish job pretty easily. Football management is a fickle game

Aye. If all you're thinking of is the money. Just hoped for better.

I get that the money he'll be getting on that 5 year contract will be life changing, whether he succeeds or not. But he wasn't exactly on minimum wage at Brighton

He also managing a team in the CL so that got to be a massive pull.

He also must believe he is good enough and want a crack at it. If it doesn't work our, he will easily find another club on Brighton level for another project job. Its a win win for him.

Fair enough. Though I don't get it.

Same with Richarlisons tears the other day. I'm badly out of touch with modern football. I hate UEFA and thier broken champions league, so I don't understand it's pull at all.

It's meant to be some pinnacle of football, yet all it is is a corrupt farce.

Now if you'll all excuse me, I've got some clouds to yell at...

If he's ambitious then it's an excellent move for him. Things not working out at Chelsea wouldn't be a huge black mark as pretty much all managers have a fairly big blot or two in their copybook.

What would be a huge black mark to other potential employees would be the accusation that he is scared of a big club and expectations and prefers the relative comfort zone of Brighton.

Hate to say it but he would of been decent at the RS imo

Chelsea not the big club for him, even arsenal and spurs be better

Carlo and the likes suit chelsea more
