Lid is scouse slang for 'Lad'. Can be both a term of endearment ("Alright lids!") or a mocking term ("Look at all those lids on the Happy Als mooning out of the coach window!").

Yep. He was fired for not controlling a ranting Ric Flair at a pre-Summerslam video game press conference in August. Though they claimed he 'retired' to help him save face. He's naturally gone along with the retired schtick. His blogs have become far more critical of WWE and WWE's product ever since he 'retired' though, so it's pretty damn obvious at times.

Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards from ROH have worked the WWF NXT tv tapings tonight (as non-contract talent), billed as the American Pitbulls, losing to the Ascension. I saw Richards wrestle in Preston for PCW just 3 weeks ago. Hope he & Edwards get signed by WWE.

Ric Flair is a massive bellend. Comes across as a right biff.

Sad really because JR is the voice of many people's childhood's/teenage years

PPVs just feel totally flat to me these days without JR screaming extremities into the mic. Its like when Murray retire from F1.. the whole thing just loses some of its magic. Not sure I care too much for Michael Cole, he's the very definition of mediocre.
