GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Look out for a big yellow sign with pink 'FANDANGO 1-0' lettering on it on tonight's Smackdown. That's my sign! I was right on the camera side, dead centre, but higher up so it's only when the camera pans up that you might see it. No idea if I got on tv or not.

this it?

1 minute 13 seconds in, not pink lettering tho

Don't think I've ever asked this, any one here a fan of upstart promotion Ring of Honour?

Some serious talent has walked through their doors, but I find it difficult to actually watch a show as the production values are not what I'm attuned to.

Don't get me wrong, I acknowledge the talent and the in-ring work - which often blows WWE away - but it just feels like an ordeal.

I'd like to see a hybrid of WWE and RoH - TNA isn't it.

I agree whole heartedly with that to be honest

I'd like to see WWE production values and show/main event pacing combined with the ROH's in ring product and characters

I reckon you'd have a top notch product then

ROH is no where as good as it used to be sadly. Back in 2006-2008 it was probably the most enjoyable company you could watch. It does say a lot though that Daniel Bryan, CM Punk and Seth Rollins all came to prominence there before moving on to WWE. It really was a talent factory back in the day. I wish WWE would start working with them, like they used to with ECW. Give them some money and in turn ROH can have some of their development guys on the show where they can get some experience working a different style

Watch it now and again, Can't watch it fully though, bores me.

It hasn't been as good recently I think, even though it is easier to watch than it used to be.

The old shows would get too much for me back in the day. They had no idea how to structure a card, so you essentially watched a show full of 4 or 5 main events. I would have to watch for an hour and then go have a cup of tea and a brief rest before plowing into the rest of it.

The wrestling was immense though. CM Punk and Samoa Joe had two classic matches that each went for an hour.

I've got the Punk DVD where he mentions these, i need to see them.

Huge fan mate, went to the Hammerstein ballroom show & Manhattan Center shows last week whilst in the U.S. for WM29. In work at the moment but at some point tonight/this week I'm gonna post something in this thread about the shows I went to and some photos.

Had my photo taken with both the new champ Jay Briscoe & Michael Elgin before the tv tapings last Saturday, really nice blokes. Jay in particular, I mentioned how I'd seen him wrestle live before in Liverpool in 2006, and he remembered wrestling at the Olympia.

I remember meeting Jay and Mark when they did some shows in the UK in '08. Both are great guys. Glad to see Jay finally win the big one!
