GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Not sure it will be mate.

Has the potential to one way or the other b

It'll either be immense or terrible.

Doubt it will be terrible. Their first match was good. They'll do a massive brawl, blood, weapons, the lot. They'll get all the shortcuts that no-one else gets to make it entertaining.

I actually think Punk vs Taker might be the worst match. Punk has a bad arm injury and doesn't even want to be in the match in the first place. Taker is too old/injured and is only wrestling to keep up the WM tradition/streak. Last 2 years' matches with HHH had a good storyline and all the shortcuts to carry it. Punk vs Taker won't get that this year.

Just been watching last night's TNA.

D-Lo Brown, who claims on Twitter that he's a Liverpool fan and signs off most of his tweets with #YNWA, along with Bully Ray who also claims to be a Liverpool fan, are both in the Aces & Eights heel faction running the promotion.

Anyway, the faction's catchphrase is... you've guessed it.... You'll Never Walk Alone.

At least it makes it very easy to boo them as heels!

I doubted Goldberg Lesnar would be terrible.

I doubted Goldberg Lesnar would be terrible.

I didn't, both were leaving and couldn't give a crap. Neither wanted to be there.

Triple H runs the company, he's going to pull out all the stops to have a good/very good match with Lesnar, and Lesnar is under pressure to justify his massive salary for limited appearances.

The match itself won't be bad, I'd bet the house on it. There are a lot worse matches on the card than HHH vs Lesnar.

BREAKING NEWS: RIC FLAIR'S SON, REID FLIEHR IS DEAD AT AGED 24.

Reid Flair, the youngest son of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, has passed away, PWInsider.com has sadly confirmed. He was only 24 years old.
Reid was seen in the latter days of WCW, where both he and his father had their shaved in an angle by Vince Russo. He later began training as a pro wrestler under Bobby Eaton and George South, but personal issues, including a heroin arrest, sidetracked what was expected to be instant stardom for Reid, who had an excellent amateur pedigree.

At one point, he was slated to debut with Ring of Honor when the promotion was owned by Cary Silkin, but the arrest caused ROH to back off on those plans. That led to the beginning of the end of their relationship with Ric Flair.

Since then, there had been talk of Reid going to WWE developmental and the company had taken a look at him, but didn't sign him to a contract. He had worked in All Japan this past January and was slated to make appearances with Ric this weekend in Maryland.

Our deepest condolences to the Flair family during what can only be described as a tragic, sad day.

Terrible news, 24 years old is no age for anyone to die at. He's clearly had some major problems, specifically the heroin stuff, but it was thought he'd got back on track. No word on how he died yet.

Reid Fliehr as a 10 year old in a WCW angle on Nitro back in 1998 (at the 3:31 mark):

Looking like the cause of death was drugs (an overdose). Not surprising, given he had previously had substance abuse problems.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has confirmed that Reid Fliehr, the son of Ric Flair, was found dead Friday morning in a Charlotte hotel.

According to a press release sent out by the police department, police were called to a hotel room around 10:35 a.m. EST after hotel staff reported an "unresponsive man." Police say they found Reid's body in the hotel room.

The hotel has been identified as a Marriott Residence's Inn located near SouthPark, which is Charlotte's high-end shopping district.

Police have not officially confirmed the cause of death for Reid, 24, but the initial belief is an overdose. According to the press release, detectives determined that "foul play" does not appear to be involved. Ric Flair's agent said in a separate statement that "the investigation into the cause of death is ongoing."

Local CBS affiliate WBTV noted that Reid was scheduled to join his father, Ric Flair, at this weekend's Big Time Wrestling tour, which starts Friday in Maryland. Reid's last tweet was on Thursday afternoon promoting his appearances with Ric.

Ric Flair's agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni of Legacy Talent and Entertainment, released an official statement on behalf of Ric regarding the death of his son, Reid Fliehr, on Friday:

"We are heartbroken to confirm that Ric's son, Reid Fliehr, has passed away today March 29, 2013 in Charlotte, N.C.

"The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing. Reid was 25 and an incredible son, brother, friend, and professional wrestler.

"No words can describe the grief that Ric and his family are experiencing and they do request privacy during this devastating time."

Seems sound Wade Barrett, shame he's been so misused since Nexus. Or when he was doing well again smashed his arm up.

Apparently they were going to do a Money in the Bank at last years mania but it got canned as the scheduled winner (wade) broke his arm. Shame that.

Also anyone else not feeling like its only a week til mania? Worst RTWM for a while for me. Just not feeling it

Yeah Barrett is a good man.

Very cool. And represents Britain really well in WWE.

Not sure he'll ever be more than he is now. But I rate him.

Even more so now!!

I feel justified for liking Wade now

Going to actually watch a full episode of Impact Wrestling for the first time in yonks tonight. I've heard some good things about it

Did you watch it mate?

And whilst at first i thought a ballroom dancing gimmick would suck i'm really loving FaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrDaaaaaaaaaarnGooooooooooooooooooo right now. They really need more arrogant cocky sleazy heels in the midcard who do top rope leg drops.
