GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Punk wining at wrestlemania against taker would be great...especially with punks heel attitude at the moment.

I'd like to see lesnar come into raw soon, like I said a few weeks ago, would love to see heyman have his own little group of superstars...lesnar/punk/shield etc

If it is Punk Taker there is no way Punk is winning mate. No way on earth.

Records/streaks are there to be broken. Punk winning gets him out of the Championship for a while whilst Rock/Cena fight it out and makes him even more of a Heel

I would put my life savings on Punk not beating Taker.

If HBK, HHH, Edge, Batista etc..... Couldn't then there is no way they would let Punk.

For those who havn't seen it...Jerichos return:

Such a good atmosphere, sounds better than Rocks return a few years ago

When Jericho's music hit i nearly cried as i had memories of his god awful return and run last year. But fair play, the guy was back to his best and put in a great display.

Best Rumble match for ages helped by a good crowd.

Awful end though, that kind of finish should have died out years ago. If you wanted Rock to win why not have the shield interfere and leave thinking Rock is done but have him kick out and then make a comeback. And do more to beat the champ of 437 or whatever days it is than a pissing elbow drop. No need for Vince to show up.

But as always depends on how its followed up whether it was the best way to do things or not.

When John Cena said at the turn of the year that 2013 was going to be his year, you just knew he was going to win the RR, and now you just know that he is going to go and take the belt off The Rock at WM...

In an ideal world, Ziggler should of won the RR.

Have to disagree with some of you guys, I enjoyed the Rumble.

Yes, John Cena winning the Rumble match sucks balls, mainly because it's JOHN CENA, and John Cena isn't aimed at people over the age of 8, or who watched WWE prior to 2005.

HOWEVER... think about this. You're WWE. Rock vs Cena last year was the main event of the most-watched Wrestlemania (28) ever, generating more ppv buys and money than anything before it.

You want this year's Wrestlemania 29 to deliver a similar record-breaking performance for business. Why wouldn't you go to Rock vs Cena 2? Rock has only been back a few weeks, and there has already been a noticeable increase in RAW tv ratings, and also RAW tv tapings selling out, based solely on 'The Rock returns to <insert city> for the first time in 10 years' advertising. To put it bluntly, the Rock is a big f***ing deal who attracts a lot of casual fans who don't normally watch WWE. Cena isn't in his league as a draw, but he *is* the closest thing WWE currently has as a draw (not Punk, who is a fantastic wrestler/character, but hasn't drawn as champion).

That is why Rock vs Cena 2 (with the WWE title at stake to give it extra oomph) is going to be the main event of WM29. People can say it's not original, and they're kind of right and entitled to say that, but Austin vs Rock happened at three Wrestlemanias, mainly because people loved seeing those two wrestle each other. Being original isn't the reason you should book something. Trying to make the most amount of money possible is the reason you book something, and Rock vs Cena (based on match 1) is what the most amount of people want to see, and what WWE thinks will make the most amount of money possible.

I think Punk drew as a Champion more so than any other star for about 3/4 years

He didn't mate, he didn't make any difference at all. Raw's tv ratings in the U.S. hit 15 year lows with him as champion.

He drew one above average ppv buyrate, vs Ryback at Hell in a Cell in October, but the following month, Survivor Series did the lowest ever buyrate for that event. Hell in a Cell was just a one off because everyone thought the unbeaten Ryback was going to beat him.

I loved Punk as champion and I think he's great, but he never made a difference to WWE business. Rock on the other hand, made an immediate difference as soon as he came in. And there's a reason WWE rams Cena down our throats - like him or not, he makes them money too.

Jericho should have!

And as for Cena, his promo seem to be getting worse, his speech last week just seemed embarrassing he goes on about crap that has nothing to do with wrestling and thinks that everyone loves him...

...I wan't WWE to come to Britain again where Cena gets booed and Punk gets cheered

Interesting raw last night....

Jericho is back for abit, lesnar returns, heyman is responsible for the shield.

Just wonder what the wrestle mania feuds will be. Who goes up against punk, lesnar and Jericho? The obvious answer for Jericho is ziggler, but there were rumours online about ryback. Personally I think they will fight it out for the mitb contract again thanks to Vicky and Jericho will cash in at wrestle mania, or maybe ziggler cashes in at wrestle mania, wins the title, then his match against Jericho becomes a title match.

Anyway, thought raw last night was great.

Have they made a decent wrestling video game yet? They've not been any good since WWF Superstars
